Desert oasis on the Dead Sea with the Nahal David and Nahal Arugot streams, ibex and an ancient synagogue site, about 38 km south-east of Ma'ale Adumim in a straight line. After flood damage in May, only the accessible path to the first waterfall in Wadi David is open; check before going.

The middle of the three big springs of Nahal Prat (Wadi Qelt), about 8 km north-east of Ma'ale Adumim in a straight line, reached from the Alon road past Kfar Adumim; its water flows in pulses. The site reopened on 1 July 2026: entry is free but only with advance registration.

Israel Nature and Parks Authority reserve around a spring in a desert canyon. It has the Tamar pool for bathing, a picnic area, the Faran monastery and hiking routes. Entry: adult 31 NIS, child 16 NIS.

The world's lowest nature reserve: spring-fed wading pools, reeds, a Second Temple-period estate and a new visitor centre, about 17 km south-east of Ma'ale Adumim in a straight line. There is no access to the Dead Sea itself from the reserve.

Christian pilgrimage site on the Jordan River where tradition places the baptism of Jesus, run by the Nature and Parks Authority, about 24 km east of Ma'ale Adumim in a straight line. Drive Route 1 east to Road 90, then north about 5 km to the signed turn-off.
