Christian pilgrimage site on the Jordan River where tradition places the baptism of Jesus, run by the Nature and Parks Authority, about 24 km east of Ma'ale Adumim in a straight line. Drive Route 1 east to Road 90, then north about 5 km to the signed turn-off.

Ruins of the settlement linked to the Dead Sea Scrolls, with a film, a small museum and a view of the caves, about 16 km east of Ma'ale Adumim in a straight line (Route 1 down to Road 90, then south past Kalia). Entry 31 NIS adults, 16 NIS children.

The world's lowest nature reserve: spring-fed wading pools, reeds, a Second Temple-period estate and a new visitor centre, about 17 km south-east of Ma'ale Adumim in a straight line. There is no access to the Dead Sea itself from the reserve.

The middle of the three big springs of Nahal Prat (Wadi Qelt), about 8 km north-east of Ma'ale Adumim in a straight line, reached from the Alon road past Kfar Adumim; its water flows in pulses. The site reopened on 1 July 2026: entry is free but only with advance registration.
