- Mitzpe NevoNorthern neighbourhood with Yeshivat Birkat Moshe, a women's mikveh and many of the shuls on the municipal list. Kehillot Tehilla (2011) named it one of two areas with high concentrations of Anglos, and it has its own young-families community.Places listed here: 11
- Nofei HaSela (07)The newest large neighbourhood: building of 3,500 homes began in 2000, with streets named after rocks and minerals. It has the Karso commercial centre, the Shluvim matnas branch, a mikveh, and 28 of the city's 75 gans in the ministry list.Places listed here: 23
- Tzemach HaSadeh (06)Southern neighbourhood of about 2,000 homes, first occupied in 1997, with streets named after plants. It has the matnas early-childhood branch, Terem's urgent-care centre on HaEshel St, a mikveh and its own young-families community.Places listed here: 15
- Megadim (03)Western neighbourhood with streets taken from the Song of Songs (Pri Megadim, Et HaZamir, Bat Nadiv). The Megadim Ashkenazi and Sephardi shuls share Pri Megadim 25, and the Mikveh Shir is at Pri Megadim 105.Places listed here: 8
- HaNachalimArea around HaNachalim St in the older part of the city, with side streets named after Judean Desert streams. Or HaTorah, which Hebrew Wikipedia calls the city's first synagogue, and HaMerkazi are both on HaNachalim St.Places listed here: 8
- Klei ShirNeighbourhood with streets named after biblical instruments (HaNevel, HaUgav, HaShofar) and the HaShachar club. Kehillot Tehilla (2011) listed it with Mitzpe Nevo as having high concentrations of Anglos.Places listed here: 3
- Givat HaMeyasdimThe founding site: in December 1975 the first 23 families and six singles settled in a workers' camp here, beside Mishor Adumim. It has the Be'er Michal mikveh (by appointment) and the Mechinat Eitan pre-army academy.Places listed here: 2
- Veteran neighbourhoods (HaVatika)The municipality's label for the original neighbourhoods around Kikar Yahalom, Park HaKeren and the Family Park. Older buildings, the main open-air shopping centre, the culture hall and the library are close by.
- Avnei HaChoshenArea around Avnei HaChoshen St, with streets named after the stones of the High Priest's breastplate (Hebrew Wikipedia). The ministry list places AMIT Eitan, Ulpanat Tzvia, Ma'ale HaTorah and Mamlachti Gimmel here.Places listed here: 6
- Kikar YahalomThe original city centre (Hebrew Wikipedia): the largest open-air shopping centre, the arnona payments centre, Clalit's Yahalom medical centre and Tipat Halav. Busy and central rather than quiet.
- HaMitzadimVilla and cottage area with streets named after desert fortresses (Hyrcania, Herodion), per Hebrew Wikipedia. Private houses mean higher prices and quieter streets; the Nachalat Yitzchak shul is at HaMitzadim 63.
