Students, gap year and lone soldiers
Ma'ale Adumim has a hesder yeshiva (Birkat Moshe, founded 1977), the Mechinat Eitan pre-army academy and, in Kfar Adumim, Mechinat Ein Prat. The municipal Ma'alit centre serves 18-35-year-olds with career and study guidance, an adviser for released soldiers and a municipal student card. Hebrew University's Mount Scopus campus is about 6 km away by bus.

Visit Ma'alit, the young adults centre
Ma'alit (Sun-Wed 09:00-19:00, Thu 09:00-15:30; open to midnight in exam periods) offers job and study guidance, a released-soldier adviser, scholarship help and a municipal student card with city benefits.

Lone soldiers
The Lone Soldier Center in memory of Michael Levin (Jerusalem) supports lone soldiers before, during and after service, including housing.

Get to campus and base
Lines 120 and 211 stop at Hadassah Mount Scopus by the Hebrew University campus, and lines 164-169 run to the Givat HaTachmoshet light-rail stop. There are no buses on Shabbat.
