Retiring to Ma'ale Adumim
Retirees in Ma'ale Adumim have the municipal Yuvalim centre opposite the mall, with about 700 members, an English speakers' club and English classes, plus the matnas Katedra lecture series and day tours. The city is compact, the footpaths avoid roads, and Hadassah Mount Scopus is the nearest general hospital.

Join Yuvalim
Yuvalim (6 Har Gador St, opposite the mall; 02-5355671) is open Sun-Thu 08:00-13:00 and Sun-Wed 16:00-19:00. Membership is 180 NIS a year and new members can try activities free for a week.

Yuvalim runs separate clubs for English speakers and for Spanish speakers and Latin American olim, as well as a veterans' club.

Lectures and tours with Katedra
The matnas Katedra series holds lectures at the Castel Museum and monthly day tours; they are listed on the matnas events calendar.

Welfare support for older residents
The municipal welfare department helps with rights, nursing-care law plans, emotional support, links to volunteers and referrals to care homes when needed.

Terem's urgent-care centre is at 68 HaEshel St; the municipal health page lists all four health funds and the pharmacies.
