Ma'ale Adumim with kids
Ma'ale Adumim is a family city: the Ministry of Education lists 75 kindergartens and 16 recognised daycares, and the Nativ HaKaronit footpaths with 12 tunnels let children walk most of the city without crossing a road. The matnas runs the gan and school afternoon programmes, four daycares and nine family daycares, plus classes, a country club with heated pools and the MAKE technology centre.

Register for gan and first grade
Registration for 2026-27 ran online 19-29 January 2026 through the municipal portal; the 2027-28 window is expected in a similar period but has not been announced. Children already in gan must re-register each year.

Apply for daycare (0-3)
Daycare places for 2026-27 were applied for 15 February-8 March 2026 through the Ministry of Labor system (government login), choosing up to two daycares; the municipality publishes a list of daycares by neighbourhood.

Sign up for a tzaharon
The matnas gan tzaharon runs to 16:45 on gan days with a hot lunch (9,700 NIS for 2026-27, Ministry of Labor subsidy for eligible families); 'Nitzanim' school programmes run to 16:00 in seven state primaries.

Find the playgrounds
The municipality lists about 87 playground sites by neighbourhood and publishes a separate list of accessible playgrounds.

Swim and play sport
Country Adumim has heated indoor and outdoor pools and toddler pools, with tickets sold online; the municipal sport department runs Maccabi Ma'ale Adumim in 11 sports.

Join a young-families community
The municipal community-work unit supports young-family communities in the veteran neighbourhood, Tzemach HaSadeh (Tze'irei 06) and Mitzpe Nevo (073-3485801).

Plan a hot-day outing
Kass Splash, an indoor water park in Mishor Adumim, and the air-conditioned mall are the usual escapes from summer heat; Ein Prat has a bathing pool but closes on extreme-heat days.

Good to know
Many gan tzaharonim open only if at least 18 children register, so sign up during the registration window. Youth movements meet on Tuesdays and Friday/Shabbat.
